11. Macaroons from Andrio Zumbo

After trying the delicious dumplings from Din Tai Fung yesterday we popped over to Andriano Zumbos for a sweet fix. Walking into Andriano Zumbos made me feel like a kid in a candy store. With its neon colours and dessert displays its like being in a sweet wonderland.

We headed to the back wall to pick which macaroons we wanted from all the delights that were on offer. I opted for the salted butter popcorn and the pancake and maple syrup while Simon opted for the Annunziata Chocolate and the Custard Crunch.
The macaroons were (or zumbarons) as they are called were lovingly packaged in these sweet little boxes which we soon ripped open for the tasting.
The 'Zumbarons' were deliciously light and fluffy each with distinctive flavours. The pancake and maple syrup had a doughy pancake taste with a hint of maple syrup which came through but did not overpower the taste. The salted butter popcorn tasted exactly like its description and had a crisp popcorn coating. The Annunziata Chocolate was rich dark and velvety and the custard crunch was creamy and custardy.

We will definitely be heading back to this dessert wonderland to sample even more sweet delights.

10. Xiao long bao dumplings from Din Tai Fung

We were feeling a little peckish yesterday so we headed over to The Star to sample the dumplings at Din Tai Fung. These delicious little dumplings claim to be the worlds tastiest and I'd certainly have to agree that they are some of the best I've tasted and with four dumplings being just $5.80 they're not bad value either!
Each tasty bite of dumpling is filled with delicious steamed pork that melts in your mouth and a generous spoonful of broth and the dumpling cases are a delicate silky smooth pastry.

I cannot speak highly enough of these dumplings in fact writing about them now is making me crave more put simply these dumplings are divine!!
